Insulated Gas Meter Box Covers for EWI Projects

These insulated meter box covers are specifically designed to simplify external wall insulation installations. By enclosing the existing gas meter box, they eliminate the need for costly and disruptive meter relocation. EWI can be applied directly up to the sides of the cover, saving both time and labour.

Insulation
Both frame and door are filled with high-density mineral wool.
Manufactured to avoid gaps that could create cold spots or reduce thermal performance.
Designed to address concerns around the performance gap in retrofit projects.

Ventilation
Two gravity-operated vents (top and bottom of the door).
Remain closed under normal conditions to prevent draughts.
Open automatically under positive pressure from as little as 1 Pa in the event of a gas leak.
Ventilation area complies with BS8499 requirements and has been independently tested.

Construction & Security
Made from Zintec steel, primed and powder-coated for durability.
Door can be hinged left or right and is removable to assist with fitting.
Secured by twin tri-drive locks for even seal compression.
Convenient opening handle with safety wire and clip to prevent overextension.
Profiled door cill directs water away from the meter box.

Finish Options
Supplied in RAL 9016 white as standard.
Other RAL colour finishes available on request.
No site painting required.

2-year standard warranty against manufacturing defects.
Not covered within 10 km of the coast – for coastal use, 316 stainless steel is recommended.
