BioPanel Hydroponic Living Wall System
BioPanel is a technologically advanced, hydroponic living wall cladding system suitable for both new build and retrofit projects. This innovative system, created by Biotecture, offers a host of environmental and aesthetic benefits and has been in use since 2007.
Components of the BioPanel system include a water-retentive growing medium; Grodan, cement particle backing board, geotextile drainage layer, and aluminium cladding rails, which allow the BioPanels to slot securely in place. The system has been tested by the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT) and can be utilised as a rain screen cladding system.
One of the key features of the BioPanel system is it's fully integrated automatic irrigation, which is remotely monitored five days a week, ensuring optimum performance and longevity.
