Western Red Cedar Sawn Timber
Western Red Cedar is a popular choice for external projects. It retains its size, it is durable, resistant to fungal and insect damage naturally, has a long life span and a warm, pinky-reddish hue with a brown grain pattern colour which often complements its surroundings.
The wood weathers to a silver grey finish which can look patchy in the moist UK weather.
Wood weight is 23 lbs/ft³ (375 kg/m³). The stock sizes are 25mm to 150mm thick, 100mm+ wider (Dimensioned), 2.150m+. The wood is square-edged.
