Limelite Heritage Lime Mortar

Limelite Heritage Lime Mortar is a lime based cement free mortar used for brick laying, block laying and stone masonry work for internal and external applications.

Limelite Heritage Lime Mortar is available in 0-4mm and 0-2mm aggregate sizes for thin joint application.

Range of colours - Limelite Heritage Lime Mortar is available in six standard colours. A colour matching service is available allowing us to match samples from our client’s site.

Breathable - Lime mortars are vapour permeable - allowing moisture to evaporate and buildings breathe. This significantly reduces the risk of trapped moisture, damage to building fabric and mould growth. Eliminating trapped moisture in brickwork reduces the risk of frost damage and significantly improves thermal efficiency.

Flexible - The flexibility of Lime mortars significantly reduce the risk of cracking and allow for slight movement and thermal expansion throughout the life of the building.

Reduces the need for movement joints - Cement mortars are brittle and typically require a significant amount of movement joints. Lime is far less susceptible to this and requires less than half the amount of joints that cement mortar requires.

Easy to Use - Limelite Heritage Lime Mortars are easy to use, just add water and mix.

Sustainable - Lime is produced at a far lower temperature than cement, therefore requiring significantly less energy to produce. Lime has a unique ability to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, further minimising the total CO2 emissions.

Responsibly Sourced - All of our products are manufactured in the UK and certified under BES 6001 Responsible sourcing. Tarmac was the first company within the cement and lime sectors to be awarded the BES6001 ‘Excellent’ rating across its entire product range.
